“The City of Roses” proved to be the ideal venue for a unique package of diverse activities reuniting America’s blinded veterans and their families at the BVA 64th National Convention. A recap of the mid-August week in Portland is featured in this issue of the Bulletin. Pictured are Major General Melvin J. Maas Award winner Roy Kekahuna receiving congratulations from Norman Jones; Maury and Cheryl Lunn of Jackson, Mississippi, taking in Thursday’s visit to Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, which included a lunch hour wine tasting activity; and Operation Peer Support Oregonian Ken Davis enjoying a morning of kayaking on the Willamette River.
