Job Location: Corpus Christi

Job Title: Production Manager
Responsible for managing and directing the daily plant manufacturing process. Ensures new and existing manufacturing processes - including equipment, tooling, facility, methods, standard work, manufacturing systems, and process controls - produce products that meet customer and quality requirements, standard labor cost, overhead cost, and material costs. Ensures all employees strive to meet the standards set forth by the company for safety, quality, efficiency, and housekeeping. Demonstrates an on-going commitment to fulfilling the mission of the organization.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing is preferred, but not essential
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience
  • Minimum of 3 years production management experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, problem solving, Kanban, and process mapping
  • Understanding of inventory, scheduling, quality, manufacturing, and operations functions are essential
  • Have strong knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational and effective leadership skills
  • Proven ability to build a strong team and ability to work in a team-based organization
  • Good understanding of business financials and technical and business applications
  • Travel 15% - 20%
  • Current state drivers license and proof of insurability

Job Title: Machine Operators – Programmable
Performs various stages in sewing process by conjoining component materials/parts to make product; uses non-complex single-needle and/or double-needle automated machines.

Requirements:
  • Preference given to legally-blind candidates
  • Basic knowledge of sewing machine operations preferred
  • Must be able to learn to operate automated machines
  • Basic addition and subtraction; must be able to count
  • Ability to work independently as well as with others
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time (8 to 10 hours)
  • Ability to follow detailed oral instructions

Job Title: Assembler/Packer
Works as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product. Perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and rotate through all or most product lines and tasks rather than being assigned to a specific task on a regular basis.

Requirements:
  • Preference given to legally-blind candidates
  • Ability to perform hand assembly tasks
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time (8 – 10 hours/day)
  • Must be able to lift 20-30 lbs.
  • Must work as a team and work well with others

Job Title: Sirchie Production Lead
Works as part of the team having responsibility for leading a team of 4 employees for assembly and packaging of multiple types of Sirchie DNA Kits. Perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and train employees for rotation or alternates per production requirements through all or most product lines and tasks rather than being assigned to a specific task on a regular basis.

Requirements:
  • Preference given to legally-blind candidates
  • Ability to perform hand assembly tasks
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time (8 – 10 hours/day)
  • Must be able to lift 20-30 lbs.
  • Must work as a team and work well with others
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Must know basic math skills

Job Title: Machine Operator
Operates assigned machines; rotates (floats) through assigned product lines (on regular basis) performing tasks of either machine operator or assembler/packer (as assigned).

Requirements:
  • Preference given to legally-blind applicants
  • Ability to perform hand assembly tasks
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time (8 – 10 hours/day)
  • Must be able to lift 20-30 lbs.
  • Must work as a team and work well with others

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician II
Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of complex tasks associated with the timely and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of the production machinery.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years full time related job experience in a manufacturing environment including set up, troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance of manufacturing machinery or 2 years related experience plus completion of related trade school or college program
  • Strong working knowledge of basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic theory and programmable (computerized) machinery
  • Proficient basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, and simple fractions)
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well with others and as a team
  • Ability to use a Forklift, Scissor Lift, Baler/Crusher
  • Familiar with OSHA Lock out/Tag Out procedure
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work overtime and flexible hours as needed including inclement weather
  • Current state driver’s license and proof of insurability

Job Location: Sand Island, Hawaii

Job Title: Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver (Part-Time) (Previously posted as Warehouse Worker revised 7-19-17)
Receive product shipped by vendors/distributors, fill customer backorders, update order status, stock product shelves, and deliver merchandise to customers.

Requirements:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have good knowledge of receiving, and inventory management
  • Have a basic understanding of retail sales; basic computer skills and assemble office furniture
  • Be able to learn or be familiar with military/government organizations and acronyms
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Current state drivers license and proof of insurability
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack
  • At least 2 years of warehousing/delivery experience preferred but not required

Job Title: Sales Associate – Level I
Under close supervision, performs general retail sales support and customer service duties.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Requires good people skills.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Proficiency using computer/Window applications or ability to use once training provided.
  • Six months Point-of-Sale and retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Job Location: Travis Air Force Base, California

Job Title: Sales Associate – Level I
Under close supervision, performs general retail sales support and customer service duties.

Requirements:
  • First preference will be given to legally blind and/or wounded warrior candidates
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Requires good people skills.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
