Association Celebrates 65 Years of Service

BVA marks its 65th birthday March 28, 2010 with a commemorative banner outside the organization’s Washington, DC National Headquarters. A national TV spot and a Congressional resolution also highlight the milestone.

BVA’s historic 65th National Convention August 24-28 unified three generations of veterans, family, a cadre of dedicated volunteers, and current and former BVA staffers. Pictured during Thursday sightseeing activities is one of several tour subgroups following a visit to the National Museum of the Marine Corps in nearby Triangle, Virginia.

The Blinded Veterans Association (BVA) is an organization of blinded veterans helping blinded veterans. Through our service programs, regional groups, resources, and advocacy before the legislative and executive branches of government, we hope to make life better for blinded veterans. We also hope to be there with encouragement and support. There is no charge for any BVA service and membership is not a prerequisite to obtain help. All legally blinded veterans are also eligible for BVA’s assistance whether they become blind during or after active duty military service.
