The Blinded Veterans Association (BVA) is an organization of blinded veterans helping blinded veterans. Through our service programs, regional groups, resources, and advocacy before the legislative and executive branches of government, we hope to make life better for blinded veterans. We will be there with encouragement and support, to ensure no blinded veteran is left behind.

Learn More About BVA

BVA Media is an initiative for veterans and the general public to increase their knowledge about the Blinded Veterans Association (BVA), available services and benefits through federal and local entities; to empower veterans to accept their blindness by hearing about successes from their peers.

Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Nominee Dr. David J. Shulkin told Members of the VA Senate Committee that he would seek major reform and a transformation of VA during his confirmation hearing February 1. Dr. Shulkin promised greater accountability, dramatically improved access, responsiveness, and expanded care options throughout the VA system while, at the same time, rejecting notions of privatization under his watch. Additional information about the hearing and BVA’s impressions of his nomination are referenced in this issue of the Bulletin.
