My tail is wagging with happy excitement about the 2024 Convention in Jacksonville, Florida, in July. Due to “pup-ular” demand, the Bow Wow Lounge, sponsored by Waymo, will be returning. Last year, the lounge served as both a respite and play area for all of us working dogs who were busy guiding our veterans. My dad, Rob, and I spent considerable time playing ball and meeting other BVA Ambassadogs. The convention partnership with the American Council of the Blind will allow all of us to make twice the number of canine companions. ScoopMasters will provide and maintain our dog relief areas and arrange for our dog food to be pre-ordered.

For your convenience, if you would like to pre-order that food to be delivered to your hotel room, call Tim Stone at (661) 714-0749 or order online here. The form asks for name, phone number, and the brand and type of food. Tim from Scoopmasters will call to get the details within 24 hours and will accept payments at the hotel. Food must be ordered by June 20 to ensure delivery. I am panting just thinking about it! Be sure to find me in the Bow Wow Lounge.

If you are a BVA member and interested in having your dog featured in the Ambassadog Scoop Series, please send a message via email with your contact information, picture, and a brief introduction of one of my fellow guide dogs to bva@bva.org. I can’t wait for you to join the pack!
