The BVA 78th National Convention has now joined the previous 77 meetings in BVA’s historical archives. On behalf of our National Headquarters, thank you to all who made the five-day event possible and then successful from several vantage points. A record number of sponsored events and exhibitors, not to mention the scheduled meetings and evening hospitality, kept attendees busy from sunrise to well past sunset throughout the week.

The convention was not without its customary challenges — and then a few unique ones — from which we have learned for future reference. Emerging stronger than ever for our resilience and ability to adapt, we look forward to getting together again soon. Newly elected National President Paul Mimms adds the following:

Greetings to all of you from your incoming Blinded Veterans Association National President, Paul Mimms. I would like to thank all of you who attended the convention for your enthusiastic participation.  For those who didn’t make the convention, I look forward to seeing you in upcoming activities that we stage during the next two years. Most simply put, my goal is to have the organization at the end of my presidency in a better state than it is as I assume this presidency. I will be engaging with all of you at all levels during my presidency, from the membership on up to my fellow board members, and then over to the BVA staff. We have much to do, and we are more than prepared, capable, and skilled. Therefore, I look forward to working with you on what I would like to be a successful presidency.
