Who says that a blind or low vision veteran cannot go out deer hunting this Fall?

Please join VetTech’s weekly webinar this Wednesday, October 22, at 3:00pm Eastern Time as session attendees welcome Henry Johns, chief innovator of Digital FOV, LLC, an entrepreneurial venture centered on digital night vision and digital visual equipment for hunters, outdoor activities, the auto industry, boating, protective services personnel, and adaptive equipment for the disabled.

Many disabled veterans are left behind when there is a hunting expedition or outing. The general assumption is that they cannot participate due to blindness, low vision, or a mobility disability. The Digital Cross Hairs 100SA Adaptive Scope Clip-On is a 21st century technological innovation that leaves in the trash bin still another false assumption about what is impossible for veterans with sight loss to do and become.

When Henry Johns founded Digital FOV in 2013, he began with a focus on developing affordable night vision technology. Over time, the company’s vision expanded. Recognizing that outdoor recreation could empower individuals with visual and mobility challenges, Digital FOV shifted its focus to adaptive technology, designing products specifically for those who long to participate in shooting and hunting despite their disabilities.

Digital FOV is a registered vendor with several VA BRCs across the country offering the Digital Crosshairs 1000SA as a valuable tool in their recreational therapy programs. Henry will discuss this development as a significant step toward inclusion, making recreational activities like hunting not only possible but enjoyable for veterans with sight loss.
