New to BVA Happenings in 2024, the Ambassadog Scoop Series features guide dogs that have become significant in the lives of Association members and their families. The series offers news, tips, and guidance for dog handlers and others who spend time in the company of guide dogs.

Teresa Galgano’s Donald was introduced two weeks ago and has served as a spokesdog in two previous forums. He follows up this week with this:

My woof woof shoutout this week is directed to Chelsea White, Outreach Specialist for the Seeing Eye, Inc., of Morristown, New Jersey. Chelsea presented information during the Dog Handlers Group meeting this week. She provided helpful “treats” about the admissions and application process and general information about receiving one of my fellow guide dogs. Chelsea is currently working with her sixth dog. To contact Chelsea directly, email whitec@seeingeye.org or call (469) 222-3865. You can also visit The Seeing Eye website here

If you are a BVA member and interested in having your dog featured in the Ambassadog Scoop Series, please send a message via email with your contact information, picture, and a brief introduction of your dog to bva@bva.org. I absolutely can’t wait for you to join the pack!
