Event Description: The AEyes system is a visual assistive device for individuals with blindness and low vision. It can help assist with reading text (including intelligent identification of items of relevance), supporting mobility with environmental awareness, identifying objects in its field of view, and providing navigation support. It consists of a set of eyeglasses, bone conduction headphones (which do not occlude the ears), and a backpack for carrying the computing power. Down the road, we hope to continue to downsize the product for ease of use, but we are currently still in the research and early development phase.
