The third of five sessions of the Fall Gardening series, organized and led by BVA National Treasurer Monique Statham, will occur this Monday, October 20, via Zoom. Guest speaker Neva Fairchild of WayAround will discuss how to use WayAround clips to label gardening items. A related chat session will address “What’s Trending in Gardening.”
Contrary to a headline in BVA Happenings last Friday that referred to a “last call” for registration, Monique has clarified that all blind and low vision veterans are welcome to join the three remaining sessions even if they have not previously participated. The series, successfully launched two weeks ago, addresses general gardening topics relevant to the Fall season. It features open discussions with guest speakers and a scarecrow contest announced last week!
Before attempting to join for the first time in the October 20 session, interested BVA members should complete the Team BVA Registration Form by clicking the button below. Be sure to select the “Gardening” option on the drop-down menu. The link and additional joining information can be accessed via the BVA online calendar. A link to the calendar is in the Next Week’s Events section near the end of today’s BVA Happenings.
