BVA members from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Group gathered August 16 for an afternoon and evening of fundraising at the ever-popular Foster’s Grille just four blocks from BVA National Headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. Klinton Anselm of the New York Regional Group also traveled more than four hours from Brooklyn to crash the event and spend some time with fellow veterans.

“Claudia [wife] and I love this place,” said James Baldwin. “Beyond the wonderful generosity of the management and the fact that they are so pro-veteran, the awesome food is the reason we’ve chosen to do this here several times and it turns out a success each time.”

Foster’s Grille offered the regional group 15 percent of the proceeds from 11:00am until 9:00pm when the customer mentions BVA upon ordering. Donations collected go to supporting blind and low vision veterans and their families through initiatives of the regional group and its status as a nonprofit 501(c)3 entity.
