Vet Tech Launches Third October Session Spotlighting Optical and Electronic Vision Aids

Join the Blinded Veterans Association’s Vet Tech Team this Wednesday, October 19, at 2:00pm Eastern Time. We will welcome Timothy Gels, Director of Marketing at Eschenbach Optik of America, as he presents the company’s innovative and high-quality magnification and vision-enhancing devices for veterans with sight loss. The award-winning array of devices can enhance independence, productivity, and quality of life.

In this session, participants will learn:

• The different types of eye diseases and conditions for which low-vision devices can be of assistance.
• The main categories of low-vision aids and magnifiers.
• The types of visual tasks and goals for which each category of device is ideally suited.
• Example points along the visual impairment continuum that determine optimal use of the particular devices—which devices are best suited for an individual and when they should be considered.

All Vet Tech sessions are open to everyone—blinded and low-vision veterans, caregivers, and all other interested parties. The following will connect you to the virtual session via Zoom.

The Blinded Veterans Association is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
