The Blinded Veterans Association is honored to be chosen to participate in a special charitable giving campaign – sponsored and funded by Target. Here is how you can help direct a portion of Target’s donation at year’s end to BVA!

When you shop at Target in-store, make sure to give the cashier your phone number or email or pull up the barcode in the “Wallet” section of your Target Application and let the cashier scan the barcode to ensure that your purchases are linked to your Target Circle account. If you are shopping online, ensure that you are logged in to your account before checking out. When you shop with Target Circle, you will receive votes to give to a non-profit of your choice.

Don’t live in the BVA headquarters region? Here are instructions so that you can also vote for BVA.

  1. Download the Target Application on your mobile device or go to Target.com
  2. Open the application and either log in or create an account. Creating an account, and thereby joining Target Circle, is free. No bank account or credit card is required.
  3. Once in the Target Application or website, click on or select the “My Target” button.
  4. The top of this page will say “Hello [your name].” If you are not in the DC/Northern Virginia Area, you will need to change your local store. Don’t worry, this is reversible.
  5. There are different categories going down the “My Target” page. You will find one that says “My Store” and within that, a button that says “Change”. Click on that.
  6. Search Zip Code 22306 and select the Alexandria Hybla Valley store. Beneath the general information for this store is a check box that states “Set as my store”. Check that box. Follow these steps again to change your store back to your local store.
  7. Once you’ve changed your store, you can use your votes for BVA.
  8. Go back to the “My Target” page and find the category button that says “Circle.” That will bring you to the Circle dashboard.
  9. There will now be a button that says “Vote for nonprofits.” Click that and you will be brought to a page with a list of nonprofits you can vote for.

Thank you for your continued support!
