Join BVA’s VetTech team this Wednesday, February 28, at 2:00pm Eastern Time, for our Weekly Wednesday Webinar. We will welcome Debra Erickson, Executive Chef and Founder of The Blind Kitchen, where adaptive tools, helpful strategies, and specialized knowledge are provided to people who have experienced sight loss but who still wish to cook safely, confidently, and independently. Debra will build on this past week’s WayAround presentation by exploring the basics of the kitchen and its corresponding safety issues for the Blind and Low Vision.
“Food is my love language—it’s the way I most enjoy expressing my fondness and affection for family and friends,” Debra has said. She believes that if blind and low vision home cooks are provided with the right tools and information, they will have the same experience she did: pure joy at being able to provide family and friends with delicious and nutritious meals to nourish their bodies and their hearts. Debra is also an instructor at the Oregon Commission for the Blind, her alma mater.
On Thursday, February 29, at 2:00pm, join VetTech Talk for a discussion about Microsoft Teams using MacOS. Attendees will be free to ask questions and share their personal experiences using Teams.
