Check out how to read menus and newspapers with OrCam’s Smart Artificial Intelligence (AI) at this upcoming week’s VetTech Weekly Wednesday Webinar on March 1 at 2:00pm Eastern Time as session participants welcome Michelle Mendez, OrCam’s National Director of Sales for the United States. Michelle will provide an overview of Smart reading, specific commands for Smart reading, and helpful techniques for the Smart reading of menus and newspapers.

The presentation will cover how AI locates text, discerns columns, and much more. The regularly scheduled VetTech Talk on Thursday, March 2, at 2:00pm will review the previous day’s webinar and entertain follow-up questions. It will then continue an earlier discussion on iOS devices with a focus on additional accessibility features with the iPhone and iPad.

This past week, BVA’s VetTech team treated session attendees to a presentation by Anastasia Ryazanova and Alyona Markova, Key Account Managers at 4Blind. They presented and discussed the HaptiBraille Communicator for the deafblind, the USB Note, and the Easy Braille Course.

All VetTech webinar and talk sessions are open to everyone—blind and low vision veterans, family members, caregivers, blind rehabilitation specialists, and all other parties interested in assistive, adaptive, and accessible technology that can empower independence.
