Season’s Greetings from your National Chaplain and Regional Chaplains as we close out 2023. At this time of year, we share thoughts, emotions, and acts of humility, hope, love, faith, grace, and spiritual discipline.

Our Father sees us while providing the beacon of light that fosters our joy through all seasons of the year. While our backgrounds are diverse and our beliefs not all identical, our commonalities support our desire to learn from one another and our will to offer spiritual acceptance to each other. Our common beliefs, even via many denominations, offer collective insight into all that matters. We can be spiritual warriors on behalf of both victims as well as victors.

BVA Chaplains are the pathway to the light and to the voices heard by those who may need spiritual uplift during grief, hard times, and challenging crises, and to those who may need to be validated by the Father and His compassion. He is watchful and all knowing, ready to carry our worries and multiple emotions, good or bad, through tough times. Those who listen carefully to Him attain spiritual growth. BVA Chaplains are there to serve as the conduit for that spiritual growth to those who are ready to receive the word.

We pray, we share, we listen, and we heal our hearts!  We must respond to spiritual struggles by celebrating our blessings. Be understanding and wait patiently for nonbelievers as they aim for spiritual perspective. As 2023 closes, we hope to accept all into our arms without judgment and in the way that our Father expects us to do so.

My thoughts this time of year often turn to our POW/MIA brothers, past and present. This group has given much to protect all that we have. Let us not ignore those who have lost their lives to protect and defend that abundance, especially our spiritual freedom. Active military personnel and veterans continue to follow in their footsteps without hesitation, protected by the Father. The brave men and women who don their uniforms deserve recognition for risking their lives! Their service is our spiritual call.

Stand with me in shining a brighter light on the expression “Season’s Greetings” in order to illuminate the pathway of all, whiles also reinforcing the Father’s glory! Despite the special nature of this season of service, harmony, and search for love and humility, we look ahead to new seasons and a new journey in 2024 during which we can fulfill our commitment to learn from each other and, on that new journey, bring with us faith and wisdom. We can be certain that our Father will intercede during and throughout every season.
