In conjunction with the BVA National Board of Directors, the National Blinded Veterans Association Auxiliary (BVAA) elected four new officers for the upcoming fiscal year, all of whom were sworn in at the start of the Closing Business Session yesterday. The new officers are:

            Robert Murphy, President

            Sherri Harris-Bates, Vice President

            Benjamin Holmes, Secretary

            Karin Myron, Treasurer

BVAA was created in 1977 as a means by which family members and friends of blinded veterans could more unitedly support both BVA as an organization and its individual members. Over the years, BVAA has established its own support groups and networks, organized social events, promoted healthy lifestyles, and sponsored a scholarship program for the spouses and children of veterans with sight loss.
