After months of open registration for the BVA 78th National Convention via BVA.org, the process will finally officially close today (July 21) at 11:59pm, according to Convention planner Meredith Buono-DaGrossa. BVA members and their families who have not completed their registrations for the August 14-18 gathering may still do so for a few more hours. The same holds true for a stay at the Marriott St. Louis Grand on and around those dates. 

Regional group officers should continue to refer to the full 2023 Official Convention Letter released and posted to the BVA website in early June. All members, especially those planning to attend the convention, should also use the letter as a reference. The document states that the July 6 deadline for regional groups to send notices to their members about pre-convention meetings has now passed.

The letter specifies one additional final deadline, July 25 (next Tuesday), to submit via the BVA website the delegate credentials and proxy forms to BVA National Headquarters. The BVA rate at the Marriott St. Louis Grand remains $126 per night plus tax for reservations made by the end of today. Convention attendees should verify immediately that the reservation center has given them the BVA rate. Hotel garage parking costs $35 daily, including overnight. SP Parking, at 901 Lucas Avenue just two blocks from the hotel, offers parking for $10 per day.
