Music enthusiast Dan Kern, a U.S. Army veteran (1978-89) and BVA member from Pueblo West, Colorado, has written and produced two albums entitled We Salute You and Thank You Veterans, set for release today, November 8. With the approach of Veterans Day, Dan’s music centers on veterans—their service and sacrifices.
The two albums can be accessed virtually everywhere music is available—Apple iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Tik Tok, and iHeart Radio. All of Dan’s produced music is also available in popular mobile applications and stores, as well as his personal Facebook page. We Salute You features five songs, one of which is the first known musical piece ever about the Space Force branch of the Armed Forces. Thank You Veterans contains nine songs.
Dan’s lyrics are created and secured in Google Docs. The music, both instrumental as well as vocal, is generated via digital methods. No actual person is singing but the voice is a synthesized electronic one.
Dan served as a Radio Teletype Operator and Electronic Material Specialist in the Army. Following his discharge, he worked as a U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Search and Rescue Instructor, a Certified Master Locksmith, and a Forensic Investigator in the State of California. He has also been a Wilderness First Responder Instructor, a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and a Search and Rescue EMT and Incident Command Communications Operator.
