Online registration for the 2023 National Veterans Golden Age Games May 20-25 in Des Moines, Iowa, is now just six days away. Veterans 55 years of age and older who are enrolled in Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health care can secure their slots beginning Thursday, March 2, at 2:00pm Eastern Time. The BVA committee associated with the event cannot be more adamant about the need to register immediately that very day. 

“Veterans who have never participated before may be unaware of how incredibly popular this six-day event has become,” said Calvin Poole, BVA Golden Age Games Committee Chair. “Spaces are very limited and in recent years all of them are taken by the end of the first day that registration is open.”

Founded in 1985, the Golden Age Games through its “Fitness for Life” motto offers sports competitions and health education sessions to demonstrate the value that sports, wellness, and fitness provide to assist senior veterans in living an active and healthy lifestyle. “The Games” is also a qualifying event for the National Senior Games.
