VetTech to focus on text and object recognition as November series continues this Wednesday
Join the Blinded Veterans Association’s VetTech Team this Wednesday, November 16, at 2:00pm Eastern Standard Time. The session will highlight various smart phone apps, services, devices, and other means by which text and objects can be recognized and communicated to individuals with sight loss.
Do not miss this VetTech session! Attendees will participate in:
- An overview of recognition apps, services, and devices
- A demonstration of Seeing AI, Super Sense, Envision, Voice Dream Scanner performing Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and object recognition
- A discussion about OrCam and Envision Smart Glasses
- A demonstration of JAWS OCR functions
- A demonstration of iOS and MacOS OCR features
All VetTech sessions are open to everyone—blinded and low-vision veterans, family members, caregivers, blind rehabilitation specialists, and all other parties interested in the assistive, adaptive, and accessible technology that can empower the independence of blind and low-vision persons.
