The National Veterans Golden Age Games, now in its 36th year, is the premier senior adaptive rehabilitation program in the United States and one of the most progressive senior adaptive programs in the world. It is the only national multi-event and recreational seniors’ competition designed to improve the quality of life for all older veterans, including those with a wide range of abilities and disabilities.
The events over the six days serve as a qualifying opportunity for competition in the National Senior Games in several areas. They support the comprehensive recreation and rehabilitation therapy programs of the Department of Veterans Affairs and showcase the preventive and therapeutic value of sports, fitness, and recreation for older Americans.
