BVA’s VetTech Team welcomes Brian Moon, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Perigean Technologies, to the March 15 Weekly Wednesday Webinar at 2:00pm Eastern Time. Perigean Technologies spearheads VA research efforts to understand how veterans and caregivers interact with VA websites and mobile applications.

Brian will address the Veteran Usability Project and its implications for BVA and veterans with sight loss. He and the VetTech team will emphasize the following:

  • What the Veteran Usability Project is and what it seeks to accomplish
  • Outcomes from the Veteran Usability Project
  • How to sign up for an upcoming study

The regularly scheduled VetTech Talk on Thursday, March 16, at 2:00pm will review the previous day’s webinar and address follow-up questions on the Veterans Usability Project. VetTech Talk occurs every Thursday in the same time block.

This past week, BVA’s VetTech team and Liz Whitaker, Product Manager, User Education and Research offered Weekly Wednesday Webinar attendees information related to the Login.gov and ID.me secure portals required of users as they attempt to access documents as basic as their Social Security Administration claim or their VA health information.

All VetTech webinar and talk sessions are open to everyone—blind and low vision veterans, family members, caregivers, blind rehabilitation specialists, and all other parties interested in assistive, adaptive, and accessible technology that can empower independence.

Can’t make it to a live session? No problem! VetTech is now available as a podcast on major platforms. You can catch up on missed Weekly Wednesday Webinars as well as original content published solely on the podcast by asking your smart speaker, Siri, or Alexa to “play the latest episode of the Blinded Veterans Association VetTech podcast.” You can also currently follow the channel through Apple Podcast, Google Play, and Amazon Music.
