Launched one year ago, Visions of BVA releases a new episode on the 1st and 15th days of each month. Dive deep into the Association’s inspiring stories, accounts of resilience, and the achievements of blind and low vision veterans. Each episode features interviews, discussions on life-changing technology, and glimpses into the BVA community. Included also in the series is an audio-recorded version of each issue of The Bulletin.

In the most recent episode, March 1, Steve sits with Debra Erickson, Executive Chef and Founder of The Blind Kitchen, an innovative online resource that empowers people with sight loss to cook safely and confidently.

Debra shares her inspiring journey as the only blind student in her culinary school, the challenges she faced, and how she adapted to the fast-paced demands of a professional kitchen. She also discusses the misconceptions surrounding blind cooking, the tools and techniques that make it accessible, and the powerful role of advocacy in her mission to help others with sight loss cook with success.
