Requirements for Regional Group Delegates to be Seated at 79th National Convention

The following minimum requirements must be met no later than June 20, 2024 (5:00pm Eastern Time) for regional group delegates to be recognized and/or seated at convention:

• Submission of two (2) sets of regional group meeting minutes for the current Fiscal Year (July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024) denoting business transacted to include: election and/or naming of officers, election and naming of delegates, election and naming of alternate delegates, instructions to delegates (if applicable). One (1) set of minutes may be submitted in “draft” form if the regional group has only met twice this fiscal year. Please submit minutes via email to: membership@bva.org
• Submission of the official “BVA 79th National Convention Credentials Form” located HERE. Please note that the form must be completed in its entirety and signed by the regional group president. Additionally, the form must align with one (1) set of meeting minutes validating compliance with delegate credentialing requirements. Failure to submit a completed form may result in regional group delegates not being recognized nor seated during convention business meetings (they will retain their individual member rights).

BVA Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) Regional Group Apportionment Requirements

The following minimum requirements must be met no later than August 31, 2024 (5:00pm Eastern Time) for regional group annual apportionment eligibility:

• Submission of two (2) sets of regional group meeting minutes for the current Fiscal Year (July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024) denoting business transacted and at least one (1) community event. Please submit minutes via email to: membership@bva.org.
• Submission of revised regional group bylaws (conforming to national bylaws).
• Submission of regional group officer report (online version will be available July 15, 2024).
• Submission of regional group finance report (online version will be available July 15, 2024).

Regional groups listed as “not in good standing” for fiscal year 2023 (FY23) that have not been returned to a “good standing” status must have all outstanding deliverables submitted, along with current fiscal year deliverables, by August 31, 2024 (5:00pm Eastern Time) to be eligible for annual apportionments. Said regional groups cannot seat delegates at the BVA 79th National Convention.
