Join the Blinded Veterans Association’s VetTech Team tomorrow (Wednesday, February 8), at 2:00pm Eastern Standard Time. We will welcome HumanWare’s Peter Tucic, Director of Strategic Partnerships, and Mathieu Paquette, Product Manager, as they discuss the ramifications of the Victor Reader Stream 3 for veterans with sight loss.

Attendees of the session will learn about the Victor Reader Stream 3 with emphasis on the following:

  • How the Stream 3 can revolutionize the way veterans access the National Library Service’s BARD (Braille and Audio Reading Download), Bookshare, and many other kinds of media.
  • Technological advancements offered by the Stream 3.
  • Comparison of the Stream 3 with the original Victor Reader.

Don’t miss this VetTech session! Each VetTech session is open to everyone—blind and low vision veterans, family members, caregivers, blind rehabilitation specialists, and all other parties interested in the assistive, adaptive, and accessible technology that can empower independence.

A Thursday VetTech Talk session the following day, also beginning at 2:00pm, will further explore the multi-faceted impact of the several generations of the Victor Reader on the lives of veterans with sight loss.

Can’t make it to the live session? No problem! VetTech is now available as a Podcast on major platforms. Catch up on missed Weekly Wednesday Webinar recordings as well as original content published solely on the Podcast. You can listen to the series by asking your smart speaker, Siri, or Alexa to “play the latest episode of the Blinded Veterans Association VetTech Podcast.” You can also follow the channel through Apple Podcast, Google Play, and Amazon Music.

The following information and link will connect you to both tomorrow’s presentation and the more informal Thursday discussion.
