Join BVA’s VetTech Team as session participants welcome OrCam’s National Sales Director Michelle Mendez and a representation of her coast-to-coast team of regional sales managers. Thanks to the skills and capabilities of these managers based throughout the country, individuals with sight loss can leverage the strengths of the MyEye Pro and MyEye Read as they attend in-person training sessions and experience courteous troubleshooting responses.

Do not miss this VetTech session! Participants will receive:

  • An overview of the MyEye Pro.
  • An overview of the MyEye Read.
  • Important information and facts about OrCam’s stellar regional sales managers.

The upcoming session is the sixth and final one in a series of Weekly Wednesday Webinars featuring sponsors and technologies to be exhibited and presented in a variety of settings at the Convention.

In a more informal setting and exchange than the webinars, VetTech Talk is held weekly on Thursdays at 2:00pm Eastern Time. The sessions generally consist of a recap, review, and additional discussion of the previous day’s presentations and an additional topic. Because of the Convention the following week, VetTech Talk will take a break on August 10 and 17 and resume on August 24.

This past week, VetTech’s Weekly Wednesday Webinar featured an unprecedented double dose of the latest technology with two sessions, one with Convention Sponsor WayAround and the second with Convention Platinum Sponsor Dot, Inc. Participants were treated to an overview of each company and the significant features of the WayAround mobile application and the revolutionary DotPad. They also learned more about each company’s plans for participation at the Convention. Thursday’s VetTech Talk recapped and reviewed the webinars, leaving time also for open conversation.

All VetTech webinars and talk sessions are currently open to everyone—blind and low vision veterans and nonveterans, family members, caregivers, blind rehabilitation specialists, and all other parties interested in assistive, adaptive, and accessible technology that can result in greater independence. Membership in BVA or attendance at previous sessions is not a pre-requisite to join the VetTech webinars or VetTech Talk sessions.

Did you miss the most recent session? No problem! VetTech is now available as a podcast on major platforms. Interested parties can listen on demand to missed Weekly Wednesday Webinars as well as original content published solely on the podcast by asking their Smart speaker, Siri, or Alexa, to “play the latest episode of the Blinded Veterans Association VetTech Podcast.” They can also follow the channel via Apple Podcast, Google Play, and Amazon Music
