A national historic landmark, the Florida Theatre in the middle of downtown Jacksonville is one of only four remaining high-style movie palaces built in the state in the 1920s. It now hosts more than 200 annual events, everything from ballet and opera to contemporary pop, jazz, rock, country, and blues concerts. Thanks go out to BVA members and friends who attended the third in our series of BVA 79th National Convention virtual Town Halls this week. A large contingency once again joined the session, which reviewed the important details relating to deadline dates, events, and registration. The overview also included information about the recent addition of the Florida Regional Group’s 50th anniversary celebration to which all BVA members and their families are invited. The celebration is scheduled for Tuesday evening, July 9. Read more.

Are you or a family member or guest still planning on attending the convention but haven’t yet registered? If such is the case, please register with both BVA and the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront as soon as possible, preferably by April 30. Doing so will ensure your entry into all BVA-specific activities and meetings occurring July 7-10, 2024, and will assist convention planners in the challenging planning and preparation process. To initiate your registration, visit the National Convention page here and then locate the Register Now button.

Please look for more specific details in upcoming announcements for the remaining Town Hall sessions. Put Wednesday, May 22 on your calendar as a reminder for the next Town Hall, which will be still one more general convention overview.
