red, white, and blue star with initials B V A

BVA National Headquarters has received from VA a limited supply of 11” X 17” printed posters to publicize and promote Veterans Day, now just four weeks away! The posters can be displayed in classrooms, civic and community centers, government buildings such as VA facilities, military installations, and individual offices across the country. Although the BVA allotment is limited, a few extra copies remain for interested BVA members and friends.

The VA Veterans Day National Committee of which BVA is a member called on professional and amateur artists late last year to create picture-perfect designs that reflect the theme of this year’s Veterans Day observance at Arlington National Cemetery. The “Service” theme resulted in more than 60 entries ranging from school-aged children to graphic designers with decades of experience.

The Committee selected a design labeled “The Bugler” by Gene Russell, a service-connected disabled Army Infantry veteran and VA employee, as the 2023 winning submission. In addition to the displays nationwide, tradition still holds that the design function as the cover of the official program and lapel pin for the November 11 commemoration at the Cemetery.

To request a poster to promote the holiday or a Veterans Day event of any kind in your local area, please send an email to info@bva.org or call and leave a message at 202-371-8882. For a view of the poster and further information regarding its design, click here.
