VA’s Office of Outreach, Transition, and Economic Development has partnered with Prudential to offer a Wellness Wednesday Educational Series that began earlier this week and will continue throughout the month in recognition of April’s Financial Literacy Month. The program’s objective is to assist service members, veterans, family members, and caregivers in building strong financial foundations.

The series consists of four online classes, each of which lasts an hour. Attendees can choose between two time slots: 12:00 Noon or 3:00pm Eastern Time.  The content has been tailored to address financial literacy gaps across the military and veteran community. Dates and titles of the remaining three classes are:

  • April 12 – Financial Self-Care for Women
  • April 19 – Budgeting and Emergency Savings
  • April 26 – Financial Mistakes to Avoid

In support of the sessions is an online portal consisting of a link to register for the series and a wealth of financial literacy information and resources. For more information about the series and instructions on how to attend, click here.
