BVA is pleased to highlight again the elections for Directors of Districts 2 and 4. As outlined in Article 6 Section 2 of the BVA National Bylaws, these crucial roles represent the voices and needs of members residing in their respective districts. Nominations for the Directorships will remain open until March 1.

Who can run?

As per Article 6, Section 2, Paragraph B, “Candidates must be members of the Association residing in the territorial boundaries of the district served, nominated, and elected by the members of that district, and agree to serve a three (3)-year term of office. Failure to fulfill any term of office will result in a four (4)-year bar from office.”

What needs to happen by March 1?

As per Article 6, Section 2, Paragraph C, “Candidates are required to submit (via email) a short biographical sketch provided the sketch is no longer than one letter-size page in 14-point font (to be posted online and/or distributed via electronic and/or paper means) upon being nominated. They may self-nominate or be nominated by a member of their respective district.”
