Check out the most advanced portable communication devices for individuals who are deaf-blind at this upcoming week’s VetTech Weekly Wednesday Webinar on February 22 at 2:00pm Eastern Time. Anastasia Ryazanova and Alyona Markova, Key Account Managers at 4Blind, will present and discuss the HaptiBraille Communicator for the deafblind, the USB Note, and the Easy Braille Course. The regularly scheduled Thursday VetTech Talk session on February 23 at 2:00pm will review the webinar and entertain follow-up questions.

4Blind, headquartered in Boston, is an engineering company that develops innovative devices to help the blind and deafblind to become more independent in their personal and professional lives. The organization works with the support of the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind and The National Braille Press.

This past week, BVA’s VetTech team treated one of the largest group of VetTech attendees thus far to a presentation by Anat Nulman, United States Business Director for RealThing Ai. Anat provided an overview of the RealSam Pocket, demonstrated voice commands, and offered the commonly used apps, features, tools, and networks compatible with the RealSam Pocket. A lengthy question-and-answer period provided a wide range of detail about the device. The Thursday VetTech Talk session recapped the previous day’s webinar and compared the RealSam Pocket with similar competing products.

All VetTech sessions are open to everyone—blind and low vision veterans, family members, caregivers, blind rehabilitation specialists, and all other parties interested in assistive, adaptive, and accessible technology that can power independence.

Can’t make it to a live session? No problem! VetTech is now available as a podcast on major platforms. You can catch up on missed Weekly Wednesday Webinars as well as original content published solely on the podcast by asking your smart speaker, Siri, or Alexa to “play the latest episode of the Blinded Veterans Association VetTech podcast.” You can also currently follow the channel through Apple Podcast and Amazon Music.
